It was Mother Teresa who said:
“Be Happy in the moment – that’s enough.
Each moment is all we need, not more…”
But sometimes we find ourselves saddened by something, an event, a person, an experience… so what can we do?
The important thing to ask yourself is “What is the purpose of your sadness?”
- Do you need to reflect?
- Do you need to think about a deeper aspect of this experience?
- Is there something to learn from this?
- Are you processing something?
- Do you need more insight or a better conclusion to reach?
OR
Is it a habit of just being sad and feeling down – for no reason at all?
Even though, anything can be a habit… it is important to differentiate so that you can focus yourself better and meet the challenge of “processing” the experience. Otherwise it can be indiscriminate repetition, not as valuable as a real lesson or a true destination to be gained.
So trust yourself to find your own right answer.
There’s nothing more valuable than the conclusion you reach yourself…
